Hey, everyone, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, on our 2020 Subaru WRX, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Curt Custom-Fit Vehicle Wiring Harness. But before we do that, let's take a minute, check it out and make sure it's gonna work for you. So with the WRX, it's definitely not the first vehicle that comes to mind when you think of pulling trailers around and whatnot, but people definitely do it. And perfect example today, our neighbor set up the hitch, got a ball mount, and is gonna tug around a small trailer. And so if that's what you plan on doing, you're gonna need wiring, that way all the lights on your trailer will work and you'll stay safe and legal. more

What separates this wiring from some of the others is that it's going to have a module box. And what that module box is going to do is protect our factory wiring. If something happens to go wrong with our trailer wiring.This is going to give you all your necessary lighting functions for your trailer. It's going to give you that peace of mind, knowing you're safe and legal and knowing other motorists can see you at night time or when making different maneuvers. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2017 Subaru WRX- Video
Today in our 2017 Subaru WRX we'll be having a look at and installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with Four Pull Flat Trailer Connector. Part number C56259. All right, here's what our wiring looks like installed. This four pull flat wiring gives us our basic lighting functions that are required by law in order to safely tow a trailer. Our brown wire gives us our tail light and running light signal. Our yellow wire gives us our left turn signal and left brake light, and our green wire gives us our right turn signal and right brake light. We have this nice dust cover here to help protect our connector when it's not in use to keep any dirt and debris from entering the socket causing a poor connection or a short. Now, this wiring harness has a total of six amps of power output for our tail light and running light circuit. more
